A day at
Winterslow.

We keep the routine flexible and exciting which ensures that no two days are the same, however in order to ensure a balance of adult and child led activity and to ensure opportunities for learning we do have a loose structure to the day…

 
  • 8am to 9am

    Breakfast club

  • 9am to 9:30am

    Children arrive and are given time to explore the setting and settle in.

  • 9:30am

    Registration and circle time including our story and song of the week.

  • 9:50am to 10:30am

    Free play (inside or outside).

  • 10:30am

    Snacktime

  • 11am to 11:45am

    Structured activity of the day. These change each day and I have added more details below about this.

  • 11:45am to 12:30pm

    Free play inside or outside.

  • 12:30pm to 1:30pm

    Lunch and quiet time.

  • 1:30pm to 2pm

    Free play.

  • 2:00pm to 3:00pm

    Group activities like junk modelling, audio books, sound lotto, group board or physical games.

  • 3:00pm to 6:00pm

    Is teatime club where children can choose toys and activities to play with staff members and have tea between 4:00pm and 4:30pm.

Preschool Fees

Fees Payable:

At the Committee Meeting held in March 2024 the issue of fees was discussed.  The following was agreed, BUT if you require hours that do not meet the sessions shown below, please contact the Manager/Deputy Manager who will do their best to meet your need  e.g. a morning session from 9am to 1pm:

  1. All day charge from 8am to 6pm - £62.50

  2. Breakfast club – an hourly rate of £6.75 from (8am to 9am) to include a breakfast of cereal.

  3. After-school club – an hourly rate of £6.75 from (3pm to 6pm) – to include a range of indoor and outdoor activities.

  4. EYFS Morning session (9am to 12pm – could be extended to 1pm or beyond) - £6.75 per hour -  (Government Funding can be used).

  5. EYFS – Afternoon session (12pm to 3pm ) - £6.75 per hour - (Government funding can be used).

  6. Children of 2yrs of age and over - £6.75 per hour (the new working parents funding of 2 year olds can be used between the hours of 9am and 3pm).

  7. For all new children joining the preschool, there is a £25 registration fee. There is also a termly concession fee of £10 for 2 year olds and £5 for 3 year olds.

 

Staff plan exciting activities each week to broaden children’s learning experiences, which they rotate every half term to include all children.
