Christmas celebrations

We have two days left before we break up for the Christmas holidays and what a busy few weeks we have had. The children were lucky enough to be invited to the primary school to watch the KS1 Nativity. We also joined the whole school to watch the ‘Treasure Island’ pantomime. The children have made so much Christmas craft and decorated and iced little biscuit houses, and made mince pies to share with their families after their Christmas performances tomorrow.

There have also been maths and literacy activities linked to Christmas and some beautiful Christmas stories that we have enjoyed reading. This week the children have been learning about why we celebrate Christmas and how and where baby Jesus was born. There has also been so much singing and dancing to Christmas music. With only one week to go all of the children are now very excited that it will soon be Christmas day!
