Butterflies

Our 5 Butterflies finally emerged at the beginning of June and after a few days of drinking sugar water and eating strawberries and mango they were released.

We have moved on from our life cycles topic now and we are thinking about where we live and stranger danger. All of the children live in different styles of houses and we have been learning how different they all are and drawing our own versions of them. The children have been learning the names of where they live as well as their full names, as they will need to know this if they ever got lost and needed help from a safe stranger to find their parents again. The children know that a safe stranger is someone who wears a uniform and name badge and helps people like a police officer or a paramedic. They have all been learning that someone who is wearing their own clothes and they have never met before is a stranger and they should not talk to them.

We will be moving on to talk about starting school in the coming weeks as 10 of our children prepare to move on to Winterslow School in September. We are also all in training for our sports day on the last day of term.
